Miami International Airport renovations go full throttle with United Rentals
Challenge: Eight years and $4.8 billion of renovations and new construction to the terminal, cargo, storage, retail and parking areas must be accommodated without disrupting airport operations.
United Rentals Solution: United Rentals established full-service relationships with the project's many contractors by sourcing equipment from multiple branches in the region, providing onsite training on forklifts and man lifts, and maintaining a full-time service technician and parts depot at the airport. Typical response time to service calls is just 20 minutes.
United Rentals Equipment Used: Twenty-five of the project's construction service providers have chosen United Rentals to provide 95% of all rental equipment utilized at the airport to date. More than 300 pieces of United Rentals equipment are often onsite at one time.
