United Rentals helps new Woodrow Wilson Bridge construction soar

Challenge: Construction of the world's largest drawspan bridge has been under intense scrutiny from federal and state officials on both sides of the Potomac River to ensure that the seven-year project stays on schedule.
United Rentals Solution: Climate control equipment and contractor supplies provided by United Rentals keep crews productive in extreme temperatures. Over 166 miles of concrete curing blankets were used in constructing the bridge's upper deck, allowing concrete to dry at the proper rate for maximum strength.
United Rentals Equipment Used: Approximately 250 units, including 22 aerial work platforms, reach forklifts, generators, chipping hammers, air compressors and light towers.
